A patchy, worn-out lawn does more than look bad - it drags down the whole feel of a property. That's exactly the kind of situation we tackled at this Brookside home. The homeowners wanted a clean, healthy lawn across both the front and back, something that would actually hold up and look great long-term.
Good sod work starts well before the first roll hits the ground. Proper prep is everything. Grade the soil right, get a solid base, and the sod has a real chance to root in and fill strong. Skip those steps, and you end up with an uneven lawn that struggles from day one. We don't cut corners there.
Out front, we laid sod edge-to-edge across the full yard - right up to the sidewalk, around the existing magnolia tree, and along the driveway line. The result is a dense, uniform lawn that ties the whole front of the property together. The stone facade and dark siding on this home look sharp against fresh green grass.
The backyard got the same attention. Fresh sod was laid throughout the open grass area, complementing the existing natural stone border bed that curves along the back. That bed - loaded with fresh mulch and anchored by a clean stone edge - gives the whole space a finished, intentional look. It's the kind of yard you actually want to spend time in.
This is what we mean when we talk about a full landscaping remodel. It's not just dropping sod and calling it done. It's making sure every piece of the yard works together - the lawn, the beds, the borders - so the finished product looks cohesive and holds up season after season.
